How to Save and Export Your Image

Learn how to export your finished image as PNG, JPEG, WebP, or a layered PSD with SimpleSnip.

1. Open the Export dialog

   Click Download in the top bar, or press Ctrl+S.

2. Name your file

   Type a file name at the top of the dialog. The extension updates automatically to match the format you pick.

3. Choose a format

   PNG keeps transparency and is lossless. JPEG and WebP are smaller but lossy, with a Quality slider. PSD saves your layers and masks as a real layered file you can reopen in Photoshop, GIMP, or Photopea.

4. Pick a size

   Export at 0.5×, 1×, or 2× the canvas size. The exact output pixel dimensions update live above the buttons.

5. Download

   Click Download to save the file to your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server first.

💡 Tip: Export as PSD if you want to keep editing later with your layers intact, and PNG or WebP once you're ready to share the final image.
